Terms of Service

About these terms

These terms apply to any project quoted and hired through this site or through direct contact with Sebastián Benavides Madrigal, operating under the Killazz Dev brand. They do not replace a specific contract if both parties agree to one in writing for a particular project; in that case, the specific contract prevails over these general terms.

Services offered

We offer web development, native mobile app development, and custom software, as described in the Services section of this site. The exact scope of each project is defined during the Discovery stage, before development begins.

Pricing and quotes

The prices shown in the Pricing section are estimated reference ranges, not closed quotes. The final price for each project is defined in writing (email or message) before development starts, based on the actual scope: number of sections or screens, whether it needs a backend or database, and whether it's bilingual.

Payment terms (deposit, milestones, currency) are also agreed in writing for each project before starting.

Ownership of the domain, hosting, and code

Your site's domain is purchased with your own card and in your own name — never under Killazz Dev's name. The project is deployed on your own hosting account (e.g. Vercel), with Killazz Dev invited as a collaborator. The source code is delivered in your own GitHub repository.

This means that if we ever stop working together, your site, your domain, and your code remain entirely in your hands.

Work process and included revisions

Each project follows the process described in the Process section of this site: Discovery, Design, Development, and Delivery. Upon delivery, we include one round of revisions (minor text, image, or visual detail changes) at no extra cost.

Changes that expand the original scope (new sections, new features) are quoted separately.

Maintenance

The monthly maintenance plans described in the Pricing section are optional and are hired separately from the initial development. You can cancel them at any time with reasonable notice; cancellation does not affect ownership of your site, domain, or code, which are already yours.

Cancelling a project in progress

If you decide to cancel a project before it is finished, only the work already completed up to that point is charged, as agreed in the quote.

Limitation of liability

We put our best technical effort into every project, but we do not guarantee specific business outcomes (sales, traffic, rankings), since these depend on many factors outside our control. We are also not responsible for interruptions caused by third-party providers (hosting, domain registrar, email service) outside our direct control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any dispute not resolved directly between the parties is subject to the courts of Costa Rica.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page. Changes do not apply retroactively to projects already quoted in writing.
